Black Press TV was created in 2007 to provide a single, comprehensive source of provincial news. Black Press has 75 community papers in British Columbia and abroad. Our stories are written, photographed and/or filmed by journalists who live and work in every corner of our great province. The goal of our sites and of our newspapers is to provide a true sense of what is happening across British Columbia. Black Press is home to some of the oldest, most trusted community newspapers in the province, like the Chilliwack Progress, founded in 1891, and the Ashcroft Journal, first published in 1895 and modern, cosmopolitan voices like the Westender in Vancouver. Market-by-market, these are the leading newspapers in their respective communities.
